MINI-MOSQUITO SUMMER BALL JUNE 3 AT 6PM SARDIS BASEBALL FIELD

Posted by Chilliwack Minor Baseball at May 26, 2018 11:29PM PDT

MINI-MOSQUITO 2018

Thank-you for your interest in mini-mosquito! Mini-mosquito is designed for players who are looking for their first summer ball experience of “rep baseball”

This year Chilliwack will be entering at least 2 tournaments:

July 20-22 The Midsummer Classic in Abbotsford

July 26-29 The Andrews Invitational in Cloverdale

The precise breakdown of the teams and program is TBA based on numbers and interest but probably around $100 -150. There will be a Neufeld Farm fundraiser from which, the past, many kids have paid their entire summer fees. These fees cover umps, fields, tournaments and each player will get a rep hat and team jersey.

There will be a few practices leading up to the tournaments and the possibility of some exhibition games prior to the tournaments.

It is very exciting for the players to have an opportunity to play a little more competitively than the Spring season while being introduced to all the mosquito rules they will be playing with next season – base stealing / stealing home and pitching from the mosquito distance of 46 feet.

There will be an identification session on Sunday June 3 at 6pm at Sardis. We will be running the players through a few drills to get an idea of skills and talent; after which the team will be formed.

Please email me player name – first and last if you are interested. Please let me know if you are interested but unable to make it Sunday as well.

FIELD STATUS

Posted by Chilliwack Minor Baseball at Apr 10, 2018 10:54PM PDT

If you are unsure if your game or practice is happening, please check on Chilliwack.ca- search filed status. Field status is usually updated by 2pm daily!
Please use good judgment when determining whether to use the field or not. If the field status says open but the weather has changed and caused unfavourable conditions please do not use! Charges may be placed accordingly if damaged is caused. This will also cause fields to be closed during good weather for the City to repair fields. Any questions please contact Janet Janzen at chilliwackbaseball@gmail.com. I try and update directors when I see the fields closed.
